Attention self-published, independent, and small press authors! We’re thrilled to announce the launch of the Bouchercon Discovery Zone! The goal of this 90-minute event is to provide a platform for emerging voices in the mystery world and offer them a unique opportunity to showcase their work to a diverse audience of avid readers. Participating authors will be provided with table space to decorate, display, and promote their books. Internet access will be available during the event for online transactions if needed. This event is tentatively scheduled for Friday, August 30th from 6:30 - 8:00 pm and is open to all Bouchercon attendees.

 

Guidelines for author participation include (but are not limited to):

 

• Your books are not available in national chains such as Barnes & Nobel or Books a Million or in the 2024 Bouchercon book room.

 

• You must bring your own books to sell or promote at your designated table.

 

• You must have a reliable method for collecting payment either through online transactions or cash sales on-site. (Again, internet access will be provided for the duration of the event.)
